Two weeks ago, I think it was now, I went to Sydney with one of my best friends and my sister. The entire purpose of this trip was this car. Well not exactly. But kinda. We went to see the Harry Potter Exhibition!
Hint hint to anyone :P haha
But anyway, the actual exhibition was really great in that you were allowed to get really close to the costumes and props. I loved that not everything was behind glass and you were allowed to lean in really close to examine everything. We were even allowed to get up and close and personal with the mandrakes. I don't want to spoil it for everyone but I would recommend it if it came to a city near you, definitely worth the money.
p.s. the Chocolate frogs are so tasty!
We couldn't take any photos inside this exhibition so I snagged this from Google - and even though it is a drawing - it is a fair look at the space. It was an awesome experience and very much worth flying up to Sydney for. We got a photo taken in the Great Hall, which is pretty :) Courtney and I bought wands - I got Hermione's -
I'm not an home so I'm just googling images to use - except where I mention they are my photos (like the first one!) |
Because Hermione is my all time favourite character! I love everything she stands for and how she is written. She is the perfect heroine and all other author's of females in a fantasy narrative should take note of how JKR has depicted her - cough*Stephanie Meyer*cough*Suzanne Collins*cough. /rant
Courtney bought Luna's wand which was beautiful if I do say. It looked like it had a tulip on the end.
One day, I will buy -
